William "Bill" Riley, 78, passed away at his home October 12, 2024, following a lengthy illness.

Bill was born November 7, 1945, in North Sewickley, PA, son of the late William and Alma Shoaff Riley.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Darlington and worked as a laborer for Babcock and Wilcox Steel Mill as well as Sardello's in Darlington prior to his retirement. Bill enjoyed camping at Holiday Camplands, fishing with his grandsons and was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports.

Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laura Campbell Riley; daughter, Dawn Riley; son, Doug "Bill" Riley all of Darlington; three grandchildren, Jessica (Nathan) Hupp, Zachary (Cassie) and Seth Riley; five great grandchildren, Jude, Evan, Maddex, Paige and Oliver; sister, Della Hartsuff and Millie Molter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his foster parents who raised him, William and Matilda Erath; a son, Brad Riley in 2016; a brother, Raymond "Herk" Riley and six sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday October 15, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Nick Ellefson officiating. All other services will be private.
