East Palestine-

William Bruce Bycroft, 71, passed away August 9, 2024, at Parkside Healthcare in Columbiana.

William was born December 22, 1952, in Salem, OH, son of the late William and Miriam "Deltha" Slates Bycroft.

He was a lifelong resident of East Palestine and was a 1970 graduate of East Palestine High School. William was a member of the East Palestine Moose Lodge, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1505 in East Palestine and the VFW.

William was employed with Schwebel's Bakery as a maintenance supervisor for 40 years prior to his retirement. He also was the owner/ operator of The Rod in Youngstown for 20 years.

He can be described as a strong and very kind man that was well loved by everyone who knew him.

William is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen Gifford Bycroft; two sons, Bruce (Tara) Bycroft and Stephen (Heather) Bycroft both of East Palestine; step son, Joe (Patti) Gear of Lisbon; step daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Kemp of Buffalo, NY; three sisters, Rebecca Gorby, Bonnie (Lloyd) McCoy and Barbara (Fred) Holzer; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Drew, Taylor (Cole), Addison, Shane, Iain and Jaden as well as a great grandson, Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Brian and Brad Bycroft and a brother-in-law, Terry Gorby.

Following Williams wishes, no services will be observed.
