East Palestine-

Wendy Groves, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away at age 63 on Sunday December 17, 2023, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa with loved ones by her side.

Wendy was born on April 10, 1960, in Salem Ohio daughter of Leonamae Satterfield and was a lifelong resident of East Palestine.

Wendy was a graduate of East Palestine High School and was currently employed by Fiesta Tableware Co. where she has worked for the past 15 years. She was very artistic and owned WAMS Ceramics in Lisbon Ohio and was fulfilled by teaching others to paint. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and nature. In the summer you could find her in the pool or anywhere near the water.

Left to cherish her memory is her companion Walter Call;  three daughters, Michele (Chris Cummings) Groves of East Liverpool, Melissa (Stephen) Solic of Poland and Maria Brown of East Palestine, eight grandchildren, Jimi, Stephen Solic, Drew and Alyceia Daugherty, Zachary Cummings, Trinity and Lacie Brown, Lila Eakles and a great grandchild, Madekai; two sisters, Carol (Brian) Foy of East Palestine, Dr. Debra (Ted) Sommer of Wexford; three nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leonamae Satterfield, grandparents, James and Mildred Taylor and a niece Audra Reed.

The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday December 21, 2023 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. All other services will be private.
