Wayne "Bud" Gerber, 78, of East Palestine, passed away 2:09 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center where he had been a patient for the past few days.

Bud was born August 26, 1939 in Wayne County, Ohio, a son of the late Daniel and Mary Ada (Houser) Gerber and had resided in East Palestine for the past fifty years, prior to that he had lived in Leetonia. He had been employed at the former L.W. Nash Company as a machinist, and later had worked for and retired from the former Jerrett Window Company, both of East Palestine.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, the former Nancy Russell; a son, Steven Gerber of Youngstown, and a daughter Lisa Gerber Snedeker of East Palestine; five grandchildren; a brother, Donald Hauenstein of East Palestine; and three sisters, Joyce Huston of Kent, WA, Sandy Galbreath of Rogers, and Melodie Heiland of New Waterford.

Services are not being observed and a private interment will take place at Little Beaver Cemetery in Enon, PA.
