Virginia L. Vaughn, 82, passed away October 22, 2022, at the Hospice House in Poland following a brief illness.

Virginia was born January 19, 1940, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Howard Wylie and Dorothy Lewis Fosnaught.

She was a lifetime resident of East Palestine and Unity. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing puzzles, and attending local county fairs but especially loved her grandchildren and her dog Sarge.

Virginia is survived by a son, Richard Vaughn, Jr, who she resided with; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Sherrill and Mary June and four brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Richard Vaughn who passed away in 2000; two daughters, Melody Grubb and Barbara Burson; two sisters; two brothers and her stepmother, June Wylie.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
