East Palestine-

Thomas E. Cartwright, 86, passed away December 10, 2025, at the Hospice House in Poland.

Tom was born in East Palestine, September 20, 1939, son of the late John S. and Goldie George Cartwright.

He was a lifelong resident and a graduate of East Palestine High School. Tom worked as an inspector for Babcock & Wilcox for 20 years, then worked in maintenance for EP China for 10 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed watching sports and westerns on TV. Tom was happiest when spending time with his family and most especially his grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean (Hall) Cartwright; three sons, Tom (Angie) Cartwright of Suffolk, VA, Brian (Janice) Cartwright of East Palestine and David (Krista) Cartwright of Rogers; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Mike) Greene, Ashley, Justin, Lanie and Duffy Cartwright as well as two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Ryder.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Cartwright in 1964 and numerous brothers and sisters.

Following Tom's wishes, private services will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.

Memorial contributions can be made in Tom's name to the charity of ones choice.
