East Palestine-

Theodore R. Murphy, 80, passed away May 19, 2021 at the St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown.

Ted was born April 2, 1941 in Beaver Falls, PA, son of the late Howard and Mildred Whistlar Murphy.

Although he resided in East Palestine the past few years, he has been a lifelong resident of New Galilee, PA. Ted retired from Babcock and Wilcox and was a member of the New Galilee Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed, deer hunting, fishing, metal detecting and collecting hub caps.

Ted is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene (Laughren) Murphy; four sons, Jeff (Mary) Murphy, Jim (Gaylan) Murphy both of New Galilee, Ted (Barb) Murphy of Hillsville, Russell (Linda) Murphy of East Palestine; a daughter, Barb (Jesse) Thompson of Negley; brother, Gary (Georgia-Ann) Murphy of Darlington; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

A memorial luncheon will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, June 5 ^th at the New Galilee Community Center.
