East Palestine, OH - Shirley J. Coast, 58, of East Palestine, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Heritage Valley Beaver following a long illness.

Shirley was born August 8, 1958 in Rochester, PA, a daughter of the late Kenneth and JoAnne Sanderson.  She had been employed at Heritage Valley Beaver for twenty-five years.

Shirley enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.  She was a rock to many, and a mother to all.  She could be brutally honest, but had a heart of solid gold.  She was fondly remembered by her nicknames, "ER Shirley", "Beanie" and "Squirrely", but most affectionately known as "Mom."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Coast, a brother, Stephen Sanderson, and a nephew, Benjamin Sanderson.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Katrina and Kathryn Greco; a son, Kenneth Greco and his wife Jamie and five grandchildren, Noah, Briana, Marissa, Michaela, and Sophia.  She also leaves two sisters, Cinda and her husband, Ronald Michaels and Linda and her husband, Ralph Johnson; three brothers, Kenneth and David Sanderson, and Larry Sanderson and his wife, Gayle; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Shirley's wishes were to be cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at the East Palestine Moose Lodge, 43 West Rebecca Street, East Palestine, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, starting at 1:00 p.m.
