Scott R. Booksing, 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 16, 2026.

Scott was born June 9, 1965, in Alliance, OH.

He was a graduate of East Palestine High School and a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. He worked as a DJ and also most recently as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting, stock car races and spending time with his faithful friend, his dog Kaydo.

Scott is survived by his wife, Mary (Morrow) Booksing; parents, Wayne and Constance Booksing of Louisville; two children, Brandon and Krista McCandless; two step daughters, Kayla and Kathleen Wheeler of PA; sister, Julie Bookings Ginnis of Struthers; cousin, Darla (Bob) Brooks; four grandchildren, Waylen, Dominic, Braxton and Sonny as well as a grand dog, Mila.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Roger Shafer, aunt, Kay Shafer and his father and mother-in-law, Gretchen and Paul Morrow.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
