Sandra L. Pedro, 80, passed away November 29, 2023, at her residence.

Sandra was born February 24, 1943, in Clarkson, OH, daughter of the late Charles and Fern Peterson Gorby.

She was a longtime resident of East Palestine prior to moving to Columbiana over 10 years ago.

Sandra worked as a home health aide at local nursing homes prior to her retirement. She was a member of Union Ridge Bible Church in Rogers, OH. She lived for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Henry) Lester Rucinski of Negley; son, Joseph Pedro of Columbiana; three grandchildren, Nicole Pyles, Elaine Pedro and Wade Pedro; four great grandchildren, Brody, Aubree, Bryson and Braxton; a brother, Charles (Frances) Gorby of New Waterford; a sister, Carol "Mic" Crawford of Columbiana and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, Joseph "Pap" Pedro in 2022, a grandson, Shane Lester in 2022, two brothers, John Gorby and Paul Gorby, two sisters, Virginia Haldiman and Janet Dickey.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday December 5, 2023, at the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. A private burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
