Sandra Irene Gorby Chernisky, 73, of Rogers, passed away March 27, 2022 at the Austintown Nursing Center.

Sandy was born April 24, 1948 in Butler, PA, daughter of the late Ed and Ruth Morris.

She worked for a number of years in Cornersburg for Sparkle Market as a meat wrapper. She was a member of the Hospice group in Boardman and enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her family and best friend Pat Gordon. Sandra also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Penny (Brian) McCormick of Austintown; three brothers, Bud (Barb) Harbison of Harrisburg, PA, Jerry (Rita) Harbison of Indiana, PA, Larry (Dorothy) Harbison of Cranberry, PA; a sister, Shirley (Dean) Cleamons of Salineville, OH; two grandchildren, Matthew McCormick of Niles and Kaitlyn McCormick of Girard as well as one great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Al" Gorby and three brothers, Eddie and Tucker Harbison and Edwin Morris.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Mark Blakeley officiating. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Austintown Nursing Center for all the care and compassion they showed to Sandra.
