Samuel A. McGinnis, Jr., 80, passed away April 28, 2018 at Caprice Healthcare Center in North Lima.

Samuel was born April 11, 1938 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Samuel McGinnis, Sr. and Catheryn Winkle McGinnis. He worked as a Welder for NRM and Stamets in Columbiana, prior to becoming self employed for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife; Billy Lou McGinnis; son, Dale McGinnis of East Palestine; daughter, Tammy McGinnis of Columbiana; two step sons, Eric and Joe Haus both of North Lima; step daughter, Sandra Minnis of Lancaster, PA; a sister Dolly Hoffman of Minerva; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Flowers and a great grandson Cody James Flowers.

A memorial wake is pending, all other services are private.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine are in charge of arrangements.
