Russell Shane Waite, 51, passed away January 5, 2026, at St. Elizabeth's Health Center after a brief battle with cancer.

Russell was born July 25, 1974, in East Liverpool, son of the late Russell M. and Rebecca Baumgarner Waite.

He has resided in East Palestine the past 28 years but was a lifelong resident of Columbiana County. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1993. Russell worked as a maintenance supervisor for Columbiana Foundry for 10 years, JSAR Recycling for 10 years and currently worked as a delivery driver for HD Supply.

He enjoyed driving his mini cooper, building motorized bikes, tinkering, backyard bonfires, listening to music and fishing.

Russell is survived by his wife of 25 years, Julie (Reidy) Waite; a son, Riley Waite of East Palestine; daughter, Jade Waite of Leetonia; six siblings, Becky Dutton of Georgia, Shoni Rawlings of Tennessee, Roger Waite of East Liverpool, Russell M. Waite of Negley; Sandra Palo and Pam Franczeck both of West Virginia and two grandchildren, Tyler and Luna.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine, no other services will be observed.
