East Palestine-

Ronald T. Reidy, 78, of East Palestine, Ohio, passed away July 17, 2025 peacefully in the arms of the love of his life, at home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was a lifelong resident of East Palestine. Ronald worked as a drill operator for Ferris Coal in East Palestine and also McKay and Gould Drilling in Darlington. Ronald was a kind and gentle soul who deeply loved his family and animals. He had a special passion for poultry and was a proud member of the Fancy Feather Club, often attending chicken shows and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. He also loved visiting the Rogers Community Auction, and some of his favorite moments were spent on his back porch, quietly watching his animals and enjoying the peace of home.

On December 6, 1963, Ronald married the love of his life, Virginia Lee (Randolph) Reidy, and together they shared a lifetime of love and memories. He is also survived by four children, Ronald (Karen) Reidy of Rogers, Ohio; Brenda (Shawn) Hamilton of Salem, Ohio; Tammy (Robert) Lyda of East Palestine, Ohio and David (Tammy) Reidy of East Palestine, Ohio. He was a devoted grandfather to; Ryan (Kayleigh) Stanley, Katie (Brandon) Hull, Kaci (Richard) Peters, Sam (Amber) Reidy, Ben Reidy, and Ashley Heaton; and a loving great-grandfather of Blake Hickman, Elliot Hull, Emma Monroy, Qunni-O Hull, Eva Stanley, Elijah Stanley, Sativa Oblisk, Madison Sheville, and Jason Gottschalk. Ronald is also survived by his brothers, James (Donna) Reidy and Edward (Bev) Reidy, both of East Palestine, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his cherished granddaughter, Danielle Nicole Stanley (May 25, 2023); his parents, John C. and Pearl Reidy; his brothers, John E. Reidy, Donald W. Reidy, and Edward L. Harker; and his sisters Patricia A. Ray and Elizabeth K. Harker.

Ronald will be remembered for his quiet strength, humble heart, and deep devotion to his family. His love for animals and simple pleasures touched the lives of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Linsley- Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. Funeral services to follow at 1:00 with Ronald's brother-in-law, Pastor John Ewing officiating. Interment will follow at Glenview Cemetery.
