Robert Wolfe, 90, of Petersburg OH died Saturday October 19, 2024 at the Hospice House in Poland OH following a lengthy illness.

Robert was born in Struthers OH on July 3, 1934 a son of the late Harmon L. Wolfe and Estella Taylor Wolfe.

Having lived his life in the area Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army and then served 15 years in the National Guard. He worked in the Property Protection Fire Division of J and L steel and retired in 1985 having worked for 30 years. He was also a longtime member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department and as an Investigator with the State Fire Marshal

Robert is survived by two grandchildren: John Richie of Finger Lakes NY and  Erica Goodman of KY; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In a addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by: his wife Carol (Walker) Wolfe with whom he was married to for 47 years and who died in 2005; a son: Robert Marshall Wolfe Jr; four brothers: John Wolfe, George Wolfe, Kenneth Wolfe, Harmon Wolfe; two sisters: Harriett Wolfe, Stella Mae Hahn and brother and Sister-In-Law: Wllis Walker and Mary Lou McCoy.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 24, 2024 at 2pm at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home with Andy Russel officiating.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday  October 24, 2024  from 12pm up until the time of service at 2 pm.
