Robert Patrick "Blaze" Mahon, died peacefully on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Beeghley Rehab Center.

He was born July 2, 1946 in Salem, OH.

Bob was a man of the old school who loved the outdoors, to hunt and fish and golf. He worked construction and drove a truck most of his life and when not working enjoyed a good party with his friends, and if he was your friend you had none better. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, especially fond of his time at sea aboard the destroyer USS Agerholm.

The one thing all who knew Bob will remember was his Irish wit and ability to make anyone smile…a treasure that will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Vale and Mary Jane (Figley) Mahon and is survived by the love of his life, Linda Rae (Beck) Mahon, daughter Michael Mahon and son Patrick Mahon; by two sisters, Mary Evelyn Mahon and Jane Ann Owens, and a brother Bernard James Mahon; by grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a huge family of Figleys and Mahons, and wonderful friends who knew him as the most special person he was.

Though Bob was of the Catholic faith throughout his life, he was also a very private person and preferred there be no formal service.
