Richard D. Cox, 83, passed away April 27, 2024, at the Hospice House in Poland following a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Richard was born July 14, 1940, in Dubois, PA, son of the late Clifford and Madeline Clouse Cox.

He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and was a self-employed auto body technician. Richard enjoyed woodworking and working with his hands.

Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marlene Miller Cox; daughter, Kelly (Doug) Andrews of Chippewa; three sisters, Becky (Rob) Runnion, Patty (Dan) Nahas and Diane; five grandchildren, Zachary (Meghan) Andrews, Nicole (Aaron) Moore, April (Cassen) Murra, Jessy (Forrest) Hughes and Chris (Crystal) Cox, Jr. as well as numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepmother, Mary Cox and a son, Chris Cox.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A private burial will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
