Ralph Edward Harrold, JR.,88, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away Sunday December 9, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 12, 1930 in New Waterford, OH, son of the late Ralph E. and Ruth Hollenshead Harrold.

Ralph was a 1948 graduate of East Palestine High School. He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Ferris Coal Company after many years of service. When not working, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia David Harrold; two sons, John Edward Harrold of Lisbon and Daniel Lee Harrold of Rogers; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann McCartney of Negley, Robin Elaine Zerrenner of New York, Cynthia Sue Harrold of Negley; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as two brothers, Joe and Sam Harrold.

Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna and Alice Harrold.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday December 12, 2018 at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.  No other services will be observed.
