Patrick J. Dilworth, 81, of East Palestine, passed away 2:23 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus emergency room, after becoming ill at home.

Patrick was born on March 23, 1937 in East Palestine, OH, a son of the late Fred and Mary (Archibald) Dilworth and had been a life-long resident of the community. He was a 1955 graduate of East Palestine High School. After graduation, he went to work for Herriott Trucking where he worked as a Parts Manager from 1955 until its closing. He then went on to work at Compco as a Tow Motor Operator from 1983 until he retired in 2001.

Patrick is survived by his daughter, Pattie Jo (Chris) Wilson of New Springfield; two sisters, Darlene Dilworth and Marcia (Jeff) Fruit. Also surviving are his two grandchildren, who affectionately refer to him as "Skinny"; Lindsey Timmins and Patrick Dilworth, III; as well as a great grandson, Carson Timmins and two additional great grandsons on the way.

Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death on November 29, 2007 by his wife, Patricia (Presnar) Dilworth whom he married November 7, 1959 as well as a son, Patrick J. "Darby" Dilworth on August 23, 1988. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Trisha Timmins on October 15,1986 and Matthew Timmins on September 26, 2010; and two brothers, Wallace and Edward Dilworth.

Family will receive friends Thursday January 31, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A private burial will be held Friday in Glenview Cemetery. No other services will be observed.
