East Palestine-

Patricia A. Todd, 81, passed away at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 10, 1937 in Salem, OH, daughter of the late Gerald and Erma Dyke Dishong.

Patricia was a longtime resident of East Palestine and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a 1956 graduate of New Waterford High School. She then went on to Kent State at Kent and earned a bachelor's in education and Physical Education graduating in 1961.

Patricia taught at Beaver Local from 1961-1963 and from 1963- 1967 in North Lima as a PE and Health Teacher as well as a Coach. In 1967 until 1982, she stayed home to raise her family. She then worked as a Substitute Teacher from 1982 until 1990 in all subjects for East Palestine, Crestview and Columbiana. When not working she enjoyed bowling, volleyball, and volunteering with the church, 4H and Rogers Group Home. She loved all animals, gardening, and canning jellies and jams.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roy Todd; two daughters, Ann Marie (Jeffery) Miller of Goshen and Sue Ellen (Michael) Costello of Jackson Twp.; a granddaughter, Sierra Miller and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son in infancy; two sisters, June Ewing and Nancy Semon.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Linsley -Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Cindy Figley officiating. Interment will follow at East Carmel Cemetery.
