Patricia A. Baumgardner, 82, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center where she had been a patient.

Patricia was born May 29, 1936 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late John C. and Georgiana Carle Hazlett.

She was a longtime resident of East Palestine prior to moving to Columbiana. Patricia was a member of the Open Door Ministries as well as a longtime member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine. Prior to retirement, Patricia was employed with the East Palestine School District for 26 years as a Student Monitor and Tutor as well as being an active Class Advisor and Club Advisor to many student activities throughout the years. When not working she enjoyed holding craft classes for friends and family.

Patricia is survived by three sons, William, Jr.  (Julie) Baumgardner of Grayson, KY, Scott and (Barb) Baumgardner of Columbiana, Thomas (Marcia) Baumgardner of East Palestine; two brothers, Kenneth Hazlett of Arizona and George Hazlett of Steubenville; three sisters, Kay Fucco of Steubenville, Nancy Deneen of Follansbee, WV, Betty Guisto of Rhode Island and Carol Jean Knapp of North Carolina as well as seven grandchildren, Jordan (Kaitlyn) Baumgardner, Caleb (Amanda) Baumgardner, Stephenie (Joe) Beight, Jennifer (Larry) Proctor, Daniel (Stephanee) Kenyon and Ayrien Baumgardner as well as eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Jack, Tom, Jim and Bob Hazlett.

The family will receive friends Monday October 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM as well as one hour prior to the services at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday October 30, 2018. A private interment will follow at Salem Reformed Cemetery in Unity TWP.
