Mary Jane Price, 82, of Lady Lake, Florida passed away late Wednesday evening, July 5, 2017 at Leesburg Regional Hospital, Leesburg, FL where she had been a patient.

Mary was born December 26, 1934 in Plain City, OH, a daughter of the late George Adam and Minnie (Fiess) Porschet. She was a 1952 graduate of Hartford High School, Hartford, OH and then went on to receive her Music and Math teaching degree from Capital University, Bexley, OH in 1956. Mary Jane taught Math and Special Education for the blind in Trumbull County. She also did Braille for Northwest Publishing, Cleveland Sight Center and library of Congress.

Mary enjoyed playing the piano and organ at her Church; loved classical music, gardening and sports (Ohio State and Cleveland Indians). She was a member of Open Bible Lutheran Church, Oxford, FL.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Price whom she married June 15, 1957; three sons, Joseph Price of Smyrna, GA, George Price, Shadyside, OH, and James (Michele Scheid) Price of Rossford, OH; three granddaughters, Emily, Bethany and Anna Price, all of Rossford, OH. Two sisters, Linda Ryan of Lady Lake, FL and June Shoemaker of Canal Wincheter, OH and a sister-in-law, Beverly Brickley of Struthers, OH also survive.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday July 11, 2017 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine with Pastor Joel Kluender officiating. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
