New Waterford-

Mary Louise (Allison) McElhaney, currently residing in Tennessee, formerly of New Waterford and East Liverpool, OH was born on August 4, 1927 in East Liverpool, Ohio.  With tears in our eyes, but peace in our hearts we watched as our Mom, Grandma, Great and Great Great Grandma left her earthly home of 95 years, on April 2, 2023, to be welcomed into her HEAVENLY HOME to live with Jesus, her Lord and Savior for eternity, for she believed in the promise of 1 John 2:25~~ "And this is what He promised us, eternal life."

We cannot help but smile as we picture her being, not only reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 66 years; but also with their infant son, Randy David, who both preceded her in death.  What a day of rejoicing for them! Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Leona Allison and 2 brothers, James Robert Allison and Howard Raymond Allison.

Mary has served her Savior with all of her heart, soul, strength and mind.  She is especially remembered for her piano playing, her loving smile, and her genuine hospitality.  She took I Peter4:9 as a direct command to her, "Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling."  I think she could whip ½ dozen pies while you made a cake.  She used all of her talents (cooking, sewing, crafts, singing, etc.) to serve the King she loved so much and now, for her, the King has come.

Her legacy of love and joy and faithfulness will continue through the family that survives her; 5 children, Tom (Linda) McElhaney of Pennsylvania, Vicki (john) Cosma and Tammy (Jeff) Rankin of Tennessee, Larry (Tammy) McElhaney of Ohio, and Marsha Green of Virginia.  Also, this precious lady is survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.  We humbly and lovingly give you back to the One who created you, saved you, and came back to take you to the eternal home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Mount Church of Christ in New Waterford, Ohio officiated by her two grandsons, Brandon McElhaney, minister of Lakeside Church in Kenora, Canada and Sheldon Cosma, minister of Edgewood Christian Church of Roanoke, VA.  Services for Mary will be under the direction of Linsley-Royal Funeral Home of East Palestine, Ohio. A private graveside for the family will proceed the services at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
