New Springfield-

Mary M. Flynn, 66, a lifelong resident of New Springfield, passed away October 18, 2023 at the Hospice House in Poland following a battle with cancer.

Mary was born March 10, 1957 in Salem, OH, daughter of James and Margaret Delo Young.

She was of the Christian faith, enjoyed reading the bible and working puzzles. Mary was an avid outdoors person who liked dirt bikes, dune buggies and just being outside, but she was happiest when she was spending time with her granddaughter.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Shannon (John) Magmore of East Palestine; three brothers, Robert (Mary) Young of Grapevine, TX, Jerry (Delores) Young of Lisbon, David (Becky) Young of North Lima; four sisters, Sally (Wayne) Stamp of Bristolville, Debbie Skaggs of Leetonia, Nancy Young and Jamie Young both of Leetonia and her beloved granddaughter, Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother in infancy, James Francis Young, Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 4:00-6:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jay Radman officiating. Interment will be held at East Carmel Cemetery in Rogers, OH.
