East Palestine-

Mary Lou Bolon, 85, passed away February 15, 2026, at her home with family by her side.

Mary Lou was born December 25, 1940, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Robert and Martha (Linzey) Peters.

She was a lifelong resident of East Palestine and a 1959 graduate of East Palestine High School. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Throughout her working years, Mary Lou worked at Morris Golden Dawn, a local pre-school, East Palestine China and Sheeley's Furniture prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and had many fond memories camping and boating when her kids were younger.

Mary Lou is survived by a daughter, Lori (Sam) Greene of East Palestine; two sons, Bob (Maggie) Tyson of Chandler, AZ and Tom (Jen) Bolon of Hudson, OH; a brother, Bill Peters, a sister, Dorothy Kelty both of East Palestine; four grandchildren, Mike (Tiff) Greene, Matt (Angelina) Greene, Kiersten and Zack Bolon; three great grandchildren, Charlotte, Ryder and Eleanor Greene.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Tyson in 1969 and Richard Bolon in 2016.

The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 PM Tuesday February 17, 2026, at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine.
