East Palestine-

Mary M. Bica, 96, passed away December 6, 2021, at the Christian House in East Palestine.

Mary was born April 24, 1925, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Paul and Alta Houck Mansfield and was the last of eight children.

A lifelong resident, she will best be remembered for her work as a cashier at J.J. Newberry in East Palestine prior to her retirement. She enjoyed puzzles, reading and game nights with family and friends. Mary was a member of various clubs through the years.

Mary is survived by four children, Sue (Bernie) Birk of Maricopa, AZ, Katy (John) Beebe of San Tan Valley, AZ, Judy Tauchar of Tucson, AZ and Tom (Vickie) Bica of East Palestine; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eugene "Gene" Bica April 29, 1999.

Following Mary's wishes, no services will be observed.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Christian House and Community Hospice for all the care they showed with Mary.
