Marjorie Ann McClain Tress, 85, of Darlington passed away January 17, 2025, surrounded by family at Rochester Manor.

Marjorie was born on November 4, 1939, and was a graduate of Darlington High School. She worked as a nurse's aide for 32 years and was an active member of the Little Beaver Lioness Club, Meals on Wheels, and her church. Marjorie enjoyed embroidery, card club, women's bocce, and her treasured trips to Florida to spend time with family.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Elsie McClain; her brother and her sister-in-law, Eugene and Rebecca McClain; and her children's father, Thomas Tress.

She is survived by her loving children, Tom (Michele) Tress, Betty (Jeff) Brown, Lawrence (Jamie) Tress, and Daniel (Katrina) Tress. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Jamie (Ryan) Giobbi, Samantha (Jason) Sling, Melanie Tress, Tyler (Casey) Tress, Timothy (Melissa) Tress, Cole Tress, Justin (Shelby) Tress, and Clayton (Ginamarie) Tress. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Nick, and Max Giobbi, Regan Sling, and Tessa Tress, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Marjorie's wishes, no public services will be held, a private burial will take place at Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine, OH.

Memorial contributions can be made in Marjorie's name to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 718 Market St. Darlington, PA 16115.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and nurses at Encompass Rehabilitation in Sewickley, Rochester Manor, and AGH Hospice for their compassionate care during Marjorie's time with them.
