East Palestine  - Lynn A. Linsley passed away at 2:00 A.M., Sunday, May 23, 2021 after a three-year struggle with ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Lynn was born November 7, 1954 in Salem, a daughter of the late Warren H. "Ronze" and Barbara Brook McMillen and was a lifelong resident of the community.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1972 at East Palestine High School and had received a degree in elementary education at Mount Union College in 1976.  Her first job following graduation was with the East Palestine City Schools and resigned her position in 1981 to raise her three children.  During that time period she returned to college and earned master's degrees from Youngstown State University in elementary education and counseling.  She reentered the workforce in 1993 holding elementary guidance counseling positions with the Mathews and Hubbard School Districts and in 2003 she moved to United Local as the high school guidance counselor, a position she held until her retirement in 2015.

She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, and had been a member of the choir at one time.  When her children were younger, she had served as the coordinator of Vacation Bible School, and while in college, a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Roger E. Linsley, whom she married on August 7, 1976.  She was most proud of her children and grandchildren, Jared (Emily) Linsley of Lebanon, OH, Matthew W. Linsley of New Haven, Ct, and Brooke (Matthew) Mowery, Salem.  The grandchildren, the highlight of her life the past several years were Charlotte Anne Linsley, Maxton James Mowery, and Logan Jane Mowery, her sister, Terri (Tom) Cayton, Connellsville, and her father's second wife, Doris McMillen, East Palestine.  Lynn leaves a host of tremendous friends from high school as well as college, who were incredibly supportive of her these past three years.

Friends will be received at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 26 ^th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 27 ^th at the Centenary United Methodist Church with Pastor Cindy Figley, a high school classmate, officiating.
