Lloyd C. Veon 96, of Darlington, Pa. passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at 3:19 am at Beaver Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.

He was born June 20, 1922 in Enon Valley, PA, to H. Stanley and Marguerite Andrews Veon.

Lloyd was dragline operator for his brother at the Ralph A. Veon Inc. and several other companies retiring in 1987.

He was a 1940 graduate of Enon Valley High School where he served as Class President. Lloyd was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII and a faithful member of the Bible Presbyterian Church in Enon Valley, Pa . Lloyd loved working in his yard, tending their flowers, and mowing his own grass yet last summer.

His wife, the former Ida Lea Gibson , whom he married December 20, 1947 died January 26, 2004.

Mr. Veon is survived by two sons, L. Blaine and Robyn Veon of Darlington, Pa. and Bruce L. and Barbara Veon of East Palestine, Ohio, a brother Ralph Veon and a sister Ruth Boehm Tanner; as well as seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Ida Lea Veon, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary R. Veon, two brothers, Paul and Roy Veon and a sister Kathryn Veon Gass.

The family will receive friends Thursday July 5, 2018 from 10 am to 11:30 am, with the funeral service to follow at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home, East Palestine, Ohio with Rev. David Sutton officiating. A private interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls.
