East Palestine-

Lisa Louise Long Soles, 49, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away February 5, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center-Youngstown after a brief and courageous battle with COVID-19.

Lisa was born June 17, 1971 in Salem, OH, daughter of Willard Long and Deborah Henderson Long.

Lisa was a graduate of East Palestine and the Hannah Mullins School of Nursing.  She was previously employed as an RN at various retirement homes in the area and most recently dog grooming. She was a member of the East Palestine Moose Lodge serving as their Past Senior Regent.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing pool and cruising, but most of all she enjoyed picnicking and spending time with her family and her  beloved Golden Retriever Abby.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Frederick; a daughter, Maggie Soles; mother, Deborah Long of East Palestine; two sisters, Lori Long of East Palestine and Debra (Keith) Curatola of Lisbon; two nieces, Amber Phillis and Kayla Hartman; a nephew, Michael Long; a great niece, Kinsley Phillis and six grandchildren, Riley, Emily and Caleb Foster, Georgia, Stella, and Brady Frederick.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willard M. Long.

As per Lisa's request no services will be held at this time but she will be laid to rest with her father at New Waterford Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
