Laura Lee Walker, 86, passed away February 6, 2024, at Crossroads Hospice in Massillon.

Laura Lee was born August 2, 1937, in Darlington, PA, daughter of the late Cecil and Thelma Inman Thompson.

She formaly resided in East Palestine for many years prior to moving closer to her family in Massillon later in life. Laura Lee worked as a cook for East Palestine and Unity Schools, Neils Restaurant in Unity as well as Parkside Nursing Home in Columbiana before her retirement. She loved Sunday dinners with family and playing UNO but was most proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Laura Lee is survived by two daughters, Kim (Joe) Gray of Massillon, Dawn (Jay Cook) Newman of East Palestine; a son, Steve (Terri) Walker of East Palestine; sister, JoAnn (Edward) Depillo; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Millard "Skip" Walker; great granddaughter, Madelyn Haigler and four siblings, Pete Thompson, Peggy Lou Steinbinder, Diane Rimoldi and Freddie K. in infancy.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday from 10-11 AM.

All other services will be private.
