East Palestine-

Kurt E. Fristik, 51, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away April 16, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman.

Kurt was born September 25, 1969 in Salem, OH, son of the late Wilburne and Betty Justison Fristik.

He was a 1987 graduate of East Palestine High School. Kurt worked as a finish carpenter for a number of years before his courageous battle with cancer. He enjoyed working in his woodshop, and spending time with his children. He was a proud father and enjoyed attending his kids sporting events and activities.

Kurt is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tammy Davis Fristik; three sons, Justin, Josh and Jordon Fristik and a daughter, Joclyn Fristik all of East Palestine. He also leaves two brothers, David and Wilburne II both of East Palestine; four sisters, Jacqueline Hersman, Marlene Kunkle, Kathleen Feezle and Suann Strawser as well as many nieces and nephews.

Following Kurt's wishes, no public funeral services will be observed.
