East Palestine-

Joyce E. Jeffers, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, September 29, 2021, at Mercy Health Boardman.

Joyce was born June 4, 1941, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Homer and Blanche Bellomy Massie.

She has resided in East Palestine for 50 years but was proud of being from West Virginia. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping, going to yard sales, and traveling.

Joyce is survived by her son, Tom L. Jeffers of East Palestine; two daughters, Pamela S. (Scott) Harmon of Robbinsville, NJ, Tamara (Jim Golden) Givens of McDonald; three brothers, Dennis, Dale and Fred Massie; three sisters, Christine Jeffers, Barbara Hardin, Lynn Williamson as well as five grandchildren, Jonathan, Taylor, Stephanie, Justin and Alyssa and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Jeffers in 2009 a grandson, Brian Jeffers in 2019 and her oldest brother, H. Gerald Massie.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A funeral will be held 11:00 Am Monday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
