Joseph "Pap" Pedro, 82, passed away January 21, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Boardman.

He was born in Columbiana, County, OH, October 10, 1939, son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Edith Shultz Pedro.

Pap was a longtime resident of East Palestine prior to moving to Columbiana 10 years ago. He was a member of the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church in Rogers, OH. Pap retired from Lakewood Chemical and Supply, where he worked as a truck driver his entire career. He lived for his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards with his family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Pedro as well as his parents.

Pap is survived by his wife of 61 years Sandra (Gorby) Pedro, whom he married July 15, 1960. He is also survived by a daughter, Kathy (Henry Rucinski) Lester of Negley; son Joseph A. Pedro of Columbiana; two sisters, Sophie Grubb of Maryland, Lori (Bunk) Soliday of Minerva; four grandchildren, Shane (Kathleen) Lester, Nicole (Pete) Pyles, Elaine Pedro and Wade Pedro; four great grandchildren, Brody, Aubree, Bryson and Braxton; several nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, Lionel Dickey of New Waterford and Roy Pedro of East Liverpool.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM at Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church in Rogers with Pastor Randy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 11-1 PM at the church prior to services. A private burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
