East Palestine, OH - John Bruno, 94 formerly of Kenmar Drive, passed away at 3:38 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Salem East Nursing Home, where he had been a patient.

John was born January 2, 1925 in East Palestine, a son of the late James and Raffaela Bozzo Bruno, and was a life resident of the community. He had been employed at the former Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products Co., Beaver Falls, PA, for over thirty years prior to his retirement. He was a World War II Army veteran having served with the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, the American Legion Post #31, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4579.

John was preceded in death by his wife, the former Margaret "Peg" McCormick, whom he married October 20, 1962. A brother Alfred, as well as four sisters, Florence Gegus, Josephine Planko, Sue Morrison, and Mathilda Bruno had also preceded him in death.

John is survived by his step-children, Dianne (Allan) Cope, Columbiana and John (Patty) McCormick, Massillon. He also leaves four grandsons, Allan and Richard Cope, Brian (Penny) McCormick and Scott (Tammy) McCormick; and five great grandchildren Matthew, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Zachary, and Jarett McCormick. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Christopher Cicero serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday. Military rites will be conducted by the combined units of the American Legion Post #31 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4579.
