East Palestine-

Joan A. Searfoss, 83, a lifelong East Palestine resident, passed away Tuesday May 29, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Joan was born November 5, 1934 in East Palestine, daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Abrams Dennis. She was a graduate of East Palestine High School and worked as a Waitress for Neil's and Deville's Restaurants and later at Giant Eagle in Chippewa.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Doug) Doeright of Titusville, PA; two grandchildren, Jasson (Kym) Cresanto of Lawrenceville, GA, Candy (Tommy) Cresanto Walker of Dacula, GA; three great grandchildren, Allyson Cresanto of Greensboro, NC, Devon Cresanto of Lawrenceville, GA and Avery Walker of Dacula, GA; two brothers, Ronald Dennis of Minneapolis, MN and Brian (Pat) Dennis of Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Clark Searfoss in 2001 and a daughter, Lori Randolph in 2011.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday June 3, 2018 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will take place at Glenview cemetery at a later date.
