East Palestine-

Joan Kline, 84, a longtime resident of East Palestine, passed away April 10, 2018 at Covington Community Campus in East Palestine following a lengthy illness.

Joan was born May 4, 1933 in East Palestine, daughter of the late Leonard and Madeline Fair McGuckin.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired after a number of years working as an ISS Aide for East Palestine Schools. When not working, she enjoyed playing bingo and her outings with her friends and family.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Cathy (David) Early of East Palestine and a brother, Robert McGuckin of Tucson, AZ.

Besides her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John Kline in 2001, as well as a granddaughter, Erica Lynn Early and a sister-in-law, Anita McGuckin.

The family wishes to thank Ohio Living Hospice, Dr.Cohen and Luann at Covington.

A private service will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
