Jean Arlene Gorcheff, 98, formerly of Columbiana, OH, passed away October 16, 2026, at the William Penn Care Center in Jeannette, PA.

Jean was born June 25, 1928, in Unity Twp, OH, daughter of the late Floyd and Ethel (Justison) Felger.

She was a 1946 graduate of East Palestine High School. Jean retired from the Columbiana Pump Company, where she worked for a number of years as a billing clerk. She also worked at Arby’s and Sears and spent a number of years in New Orleans where she worked for the Jefferson Parish Criminal Justice System.

Jean is survived by her son, Nick (Benjamin) Gorcheff of Jeannette, PA, her caregiver and adopted son, Alexander Knox along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters and her former husband, Albert Gorcheff.

Following Jean’s wishes, a private burial will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford, no other services will be observed.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
