East Palestine-

Jared R. McKay, 33, a lifelong resident of East Palestine, passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2018 at his home.

Jared was born February 25, 1985 in Salem, OH to Roger D. and Christine Gillis McKay.

He was a 2003 graduate of East Palestine High School and had worked as a Tower Climber for various cellular communication companies. Jared enjoyed riding dirt bikes and spending time with family.

He is survived by a son, Cameron McKay of Poland; father, Roger McKay of East Palestine; two brothers, Master Sgt. Joshua (Mary Beth) McKay of Ft. Bragg, NC and Matthew (Sarah) McKay of East Palestine; nieces, Scarlett and Addison; nephews, Noah, Austin and Ayden and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine McKay June 3, 2000.

The family will receive friends at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home Saturday August 18, 2018 from 10-12:00 with a memorial service to follow a 12:00 PM with John Tindell officiating.
