East Palestine-

James H. Slagle, 80, a longtime resident of East Palestine, passed away December 14, 2023, at the Hospice House in Poland following a brief illness.

James was born April 14, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Harold and Ethel Bish Slagle.

He worked at the Insul Company in East Palestine as a laborer and truck driver for many years until his retirement.

James is survived by a sister, Donna Davis of East Palestine and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Wylie and two brothers, John and Ed Slagle.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine, with a private interment to follow at Glenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
