James Harold Ford, 57, formerly of East Palestine, but a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away in Florida 4:25 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018.

James was born April 24, 1961 in Beaver Falls, PA, a son of the late Andrew J. Ford and the late Magdalen O. (Haller) Ford. A 1979 East Palestine High School graduate, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in the Gulf War. After being discharged from the Navy, James enlisted in the Army Reserves.

He enjoyed drawing and was a talented artist.

James is survived by two sons, James Ford of Jacksonville, FL and Andrew Ford of Tampa, FL; a daughter, Jessica Sapp of Georgia; and eight grandchildren. A brother, Daniel (Marcy) Ford of Darlington, PA and three sisters, Cyndi (Bruce Campbell) Ford of East Palestine, OH, Debra (Jeff) Cope of New Waterford, OH, and Nancy (Frank Ross) Hostetter of North Carolina; and a special friend, Donna Tattersall of Jacksonville, FL also survive him.

A private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in East Palestine, with a public memorial service to be announced at a later date.
