East Palestine-

Hazel Lee Cochran, 83, went home to be with her heavenly Father on July 24, 2023, at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana, Ohio where she had been a resident.

Hazel was born June 14, 1940, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Ralph and Betty Smith.

She was a faithful servant who attended many different churches and was a missionary to Mexico alongside her loving husband.  They never missed an opportunity to share the gospel.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Cochran; a son, William Cochran Jr.; two grandsons; three great granddaughters; along with too many loved ones to count.

She is survived by sons, Joseph (Tammy) Cochran of East Palestine, Ohio and Samuel Cochran of King, North Carolina; two daughters, Hazel Jean Cochran of Pinnacle, North Carolina and Sara (Thomas) Wimmers of King, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.  A burial will follow at East Carmel Cemetery in Rogers, Ohio.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine.
