East Palestine-

Gene Edward Hilderbrand of East Palestine, OH passed from this life May 14, 2021. He is survived by his sister Peggy Hilderbrand Timmeney Agneta of Cape Coral, FL., sister Jill (Robert) Hilderbrand of Naples, Fl. and brother William (Sandra) Hilderbrand of Havana, Fl. and many nieces, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred R. and Betty (Dannels) Hilderbrand.

One week after graduating from Redstone High School in Republic, PA, Gene enlisted in the Army.  Following Basic Training, he was chosen for Guided Missiles education at Ft. Bliss, Texas.  After completing this training, he became an Instructor at this facility.  After an Honorable Discharge from the Army, he completed electronics school in Pittsburgh, PA and became a Salesperson for Olson's Electronics and was given a territory of most of the United States, travelling one end to the other.  By the 1990's, he was ready to settle down and chose East Palestine, OH and began working at Brittain Motors.

Gene was loyal to many, had a quick wit, smiled warmly, said little, and knew much about many topics.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a good cook, and made a mean pork chop.

In addition to his many family members, he will be greatly missed by his friends from the Moose and Eagles clubs.

Funeral arrangements will be private.
