Gary David Barker, lovingly known as "Butch" or simply "Barker," passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on August 12, 2025, at the age of 69.

Gary was born March 3, 1956, in Webster Springs, WV.  He lived a life full of hard work, loyalty, and love for his family. He was preceded in death in by his devoted wife, Jayne Barker in 2023, with whom he shared 32 cherished years. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Sapienza and Melissa Clutter; his brother Frank Barker, and his mother Arietta Barker.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Ashleigh Rardon (Nick), Shelly Nitzsky, and Jennifer Pappa (Jeffrey); grandchildren Damian and Savannah Rardon, Hannah and Dale Nitzsky and Jordan Pappa; and his faithful poodle, Willow, who rarely left his side.

For 35 years, Gary dedicated his career to the Youngstown Window Company as a skilled window cleaner, known for his meticulous work and friendly personality. Outside of work, his happiest moments were simple ones, sitting on the back porch with Willow, enjoying the company of his neighbors Jody and Kent, spending time with his Eagles family, and sitting in the kitchen listening to the timeless sound of bluegrass music, which always brought a smile to his face.

Gary will be remembered for his warm smile, down-to-earth humor, and unwavering love for the people (and pup) in his life. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held Friday August 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford with Jeff Schoch officiating.
