Garnet Ilene Gorby, 71, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away at the East Liverpool City Hospital unexpectedly Monday February 25, 2019.

She was born July 24, 1947 in Ohio, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ray and Dorothy Burson Morris.

Garnet was a graduate of Beaver Local High School and worked for a New Waterford pottery company as a Decorator prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her husband; John Gorby; five children, Brian Heaton of East Palestine, Brad Heaton of Rogers, Brenda (Scott) Williams of Rogers, John Gorby, Jr. of Washingtonville and Heidi Gorby of East Palestine; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Robert Blake as well as her parents.

Following Garnets wishes, no public services will be observed.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
