Wellsville-

Floyd “Buddy” Pringle, 69, passed away September 21, 2026, at Summa Health Akron City Campus.

He was born February 18, 1957, in East Liverpool, son of the late Floyd M. Pringle, Sr. and Margaret (Russell) Pringle.

Buddy has resided in New Waterford for the past several years but was raised in Wellsville. He was a 1975 graduate of Wellsville High School, where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. Buddy was a member of Maranatha Chapel in East Liverpool. He worked at Buckeye Water District and later Newton Falls Water Plant prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking trails throughout the US.

Buddy is survived by two sisters, Cindy (Jerry) Medley of Wellsville and Penny (Kevin) Jackson of Marion, OH as well as three nephews, Rick, Rob and Mike McCauley a niece, Melanie Starcher and great niece and nephew, Brooklyn Elverd and Bruce Hanlin.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Terry “Sue” Pringle in September 2025.

A graveside service will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford and will be announced at a later date.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
