Ernest "Ernie" Blythe, 90, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home Thursday morning January 28 ^th , 2021. Ernie will always be remembered for his kindness and his smile that he always had to brighten your day. He was outgoing and loved to socialize with family and friends.

He was born November 17 ^th , 1930 to Robert and Ruth Blythe. Both of his parents died in 1933, and he was raised by his Aunt Ada and Uncle Ralph Dick.

He graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1948. After graduation he went to work at Babcock & Wilcox Steel Company. In 1950 during the Korean War, he enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed in North Africa for 16 months during his 4 years of service. Ernie then returned to Babcock & Wilcox and retired after thirty-eight years. He also volunteered on the East Palestine Fire Department for eleven years.

Ernie leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his three daughters, Renee Jones, Lisa Ginder, Jeannine Wirks and his son, Robert "Rob" (Mindy) Blythe, five grandchildren, Joseph Morris, Tiffany Morris, Melissa McCartney, Fred Figley, and Eric Wirks and five great grandchildren, Zachary, Madelyn, Charlee Figley, Michael McCartney and Jennarae Wirks.

Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Esther Blythe who died on August 26, 2017 and granddaughter Julie Wirks Masony.

Due to the current health situation, the family will hold a private funeral service at Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. Interment will be at the Beaver Falls Cemetery Mausoleum.
