East Palestine -

Edna M. Lipp, 95, of East Palestine, passed away Friday morning, March 22, 2019 at Assumption Village in North Lima where she had been a patient.

Edna was born January 1, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Claude and Edna Kessler. She had worked at one time with Felger's Farms.

She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Community Church of Unity. She loved visiting with family and going to the Navy Reunions.

Her husband, John S. Lipp, Sr., whom she married October 9, 1943, preceded her in death on August 2, 2000. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward L. Lipp and two daughters, Geraldine Dufour and Beaverly A. Dregallo.

Edna is survived by her sons, Robert T. (Shirley) Lipp of New Middletown, John S. Lipp, Sr. of Connecticut, and Thomas L. (Nikki) Lipp of East Palestine; her daughters, Viola M. (Bob) McEwen of East Palestine and Betty I. (Raymond) Gori of Leetonia; two sisters, Bernice Getz and Ruth Sawyer; twenty-nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a number of great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 27, 2019 at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery.
