East Palestine-

Dorothy E. Kelty, 88, passed away April 19, 2026, at the Hospice House following a brief illness.

Dorothy was born May 28, 1937, in East Palestine, daughter of the late Harry and Martha Linzey Schodde.

She was a lifelong resident of East Palestine and a graduate of East Palestine High School. Dorothy worked as an accountant in town for a number of years prior to her retirement.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Gwenn Kelty of East Palestine and Carolyn Blue of Colorado; two grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Ruscoe and Abby Blue as well as two great grandchildren, Trista and Jayd Tatum and a great-great granddaughter Emerson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gale Kelty.

A private burial will take place at Glenview Cemetery in East Palestine.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
