East Palestine-

Doris J. Steinsdoerfer, 97, passed away March 13, 2025, at Parkside Healthcare Center.

She was born June 8, 1927, in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Phillip and Catherine Schmidt Mitzel.

Doris has been a longtime resident of East Palestine, and a former resident of Millvale, PA. She enjoyed socializing with friends, gambling and drinking Rolling Rock Beer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Catherine (David) Cross of Lisbon and Susan (John Simon) Venezia of East Palestine; her granddaughter-in-law, Angie Venezia-McCarthy of Columbiana; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Steinsdoerfer, a son, Robert Steinsdoerfer, daughter, Nan Schmidt, a grandson, Tony Venezia and a great grandson, R.J. Hawk.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday April 5th at 5:00pm at the Firestone Farms Community Center in Columbiana.

Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
